Dr. Vineel Singh – Principal Dentist
Dr. Vineel Singh graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery from prestigious Otago University in New Zealand (1998). Dr. Vin as known to his patients is passionate about all thing’s dentistry. He has spent numerous hours attending on going education. Growing up in New Zealand, Dr Vin practiced in Melbourne before moving with his family to the Gold Coast due to his children’s golf aspirations. He still maintains his private practice in Melbourne. Dr. Vin has had an extensive role in the dental industry – Teaching at Royal Melbourne University and mentoring dental students. His desire to achieve perfection has led him to invent dental devices.
Dr. Vin is a member of Australian Dental Association and a member of American Academy of cosmetic dentistry, He is also a certified Invisalign provider. He understands most patients may be apprehensive, he is dedicated in providing pain free dentistry in a relaxed environment. Dr. Vin practiced in Sanctuary Cove till 2020. He is now our principal dentist at Varsity Smiles.
Dr. Aran Ravishanker
Dr. Aran Ravishanker grew up in Canberra, and completed his dental training at Charles Sturt University in NSW. He also had the opportunity to briefly provide volunteer dental treatment in remote Nepalese villages.
Since then, he has worked for several years in Newcastle and surrounding regional towns in NSW. He worked across various hospital clinics where he had experience treating patients with complex medical conditions and oral cancer, and in private clinics where he has worked extensively with the latest technology in dentistry including digital scanning and digitally designed crowns.
Dr Aran has a keen interest in restorative dentistry, preventative care, and oral surgery having attended various professional courses. He is a calm and friendly personality, and he takes the time to ensure anxious patients feel comfortable in the chair, and ensure patients fully understand all their treatment choices.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Aran enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, learning to fly and learning to surf!
Dr Leo Ham
Varsity Smiles Dental proudly partners with Dr Leo Ham for advanced dental implant and dental surgery procedures.
Qualifications:
BSc (Hons), MSc (Dent Imp), MClinDent (Oral Surgery), MFDS
Dr Leo is a highly experienced dental surgeon with advanced training in
Australia and the UK. A graduate of the University of Queensland, he has
completed extensive postgraduate studies in Oral Surgery and Implantology
and has worked across metropolitan and regional Queensland, managing complex surgical and restorative cases.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Ham is a Clinical Supervisor at
Griffith University, where he is passionate about teaching and mentoring
future dentists.
Known for his calm and approachable manner, Dr Ham provides patient-centred care, taking time to explain procedures and tailor treatment plans so
patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their
treatment.
Dr Mehrunnisa Peerzade
Dr Mehrunnisa completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from MUHS and successfully cleared the ADC examination before beginning practice in Australia. Over the past four years, she has been practising in Australia, continuing to build on her experience and refine her clinical skills.
Dr Mehrunnisa has a keen interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, and oral surgery. She enjoys the way dentistry combines precision with artistry and is passionate about helping patients restore not only their smile, but also their confidence and comfort. Dr Mehrunnisa is calm, caring, and takes the time to ensure patients feel comfortable in the chair and understand all of their treatment options.
